BREAKING NEWS: IBRAHIM IDRIS BOWS OUT AS IGP, AS MOHAMMED ADAMU TAKES OVER

IGP Idris Addresses Journalists-at-state-house-january-15-2019

Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mr Mohammed Adamu as the new Inspector General of Police.

 

This was disclosed on Tuesday after outgoing IGP, Ibrahim Idris, and Adamu met with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria.

 

The outgoing police boss took over from former IGP Solomon Arase in March 2016 following his appointment by the President.

 

MohammedMr Mohammed’s appointment finally brings to an end to the controversy surrounding the retirement of Mr Idris as there were speculations that President Buhari might extend his tenure.
